Omy and YWCA Quebec: a long-standing commitment
The YWCA is an organization dedicated to women and girls in precarious situations that provides a place of belonging and personal development, by offering several services and activities. Thanks to the "Y", participants can feel good, safe, and aspire to develop their full potential and become the best version of themselves. Sharing the same mission as the YWCA, that of targeting the well-being of its clientele, Omy wanted to do more by making a concrete commitment to this community organization.
From the shadows to the light; the fundraising evening that makes the difference
From the shadows to the light, this is the big fundraising evening for the YWCA Quebec to raise funds for the accomplishment of its mission. Andrea Gomez, the co-founder and CEO of Omy Laboratoires, is a proud ambassador for this event of great importance to the organization. Her role? Help with ticket sales, get hold of the most coveted items for the silent auction and collect donations from those around you. A gift for mom, a gift for the "Y"
In preparation for Mother's Day, Omy created two boxes to please mom (or yourself!), Collecting donations through them which would be given to the YWCA Quebec. For each Vitality box sold including the morning beauty routine, Omy donated $ 5 to the foundation. The Serenity box, meanwhile, brought together the complete facial care routine and donated $ 10 to the YWCA per box sold. For yourself, or a loved one, a unique gift while making a significant gesture to women in need! In total, $ 1,215 was donated to YWCA Quebec through the sale of the boxes.
Body oil that provides comfort
Velvety body oil, included in Omy's Voluptuous line, offers a moment of comfort and sweetness thanks to its exquisite scent. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to obtain it because all the units have been sold. However, did you know that when the oil was still on the market, Omy donated 50% of its sale price to YWCA Quebec? You were then in the presence of an excellent deal! Since the oil was priced at $ 39.99, it was $ 20 for each bottle sold that returned to the community organization.
Fleur de nuit Massage oil
Worthy of a massage therapy treatment, the night flower massage oil was offered exclusively for Valentine's Day to provide a moment of rest and relaxation. A donation of $ 5 was given to the YWCA for each unit sold.
We made a donation worth $ 2,300 to the YWCA Quebec to support them. Our hand sanitizer as well as our donation following the sales of the massage oil will be used to support the cause to fight homelessness among women.

Koalas: more than our friends, our allies
It's hard to forget the violence of the forest fires that ravaged Australia at the end of 2019 and the disastrous consequences that this tragedy had on the populations of koalas. For this reason, from January 5 to 12, 2020, Omy agreed to donate $ 15 to the Friends of the Koala foundation for each personalized product sold (day cream, night cream and serum). In total, they received an impressive $ 3,295.
The foundation ensures the conservation of koalas as well as the preservation and improvement of their habitat in certain Australian regions, allowing these friendly animals to contribute to the biodiversity of the country. By the way, did you know that Australia's extreme climates favor the growth of plant species with fairly exceptional genetics? This is where the Se ingridient comes from, which is extracted from the leaves of the lemon myrtle, a tree native to the semi-temperate rain forests of eastern Australia.
Note that Omy still donates a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of any personalized product containing the ingredient Se to the Friends of the Koala Foundation today.
Collaborate to protect the population during a pandemic
The Omy Laboratoires team wanted to contribute and get involved in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) while ensuring the protection of its customers. The team of chemists at the neighboring company, Brilliant Matters, assisted them in the formulation and production of a hand sanitizer gel, part of which would be donated to Quebec hospitals. The gel was created in the laboratories of Laval University to meet public health standards, before being approved by the Natural Health Products Directorate without a prescription from Health Canada for sale. To succeed in this goal, a reorganization of the production and packaging chain was necessary. For each unit of disinfectant gel sold, available in 120 or 250 milliliters as well as 4 liters, Omy will deliver an equivalent amount of hydroalcoholic solution to a health facility in the Quebec region.
