Skin Types and the Choice of Cream

Les types de peau et le choix de crème

Omy Laboratories creams have three types of texture: rich, medium and light. But how do you make the difference between the three?

To answer this question, it is important to know your skin type. We distinguish three broad categories.

The first is skin producing a lot of sebum on the face and on the upper back. Also called oily skin, it mainly manifests itself by shiny, thick and dull skin, with dilated pores and the presence of many blackheads. This type of skin may be due to pollution, hormonal reasons, stress and cosmetics that are poorly adapted to the skin.

Next we have combination skin that is between two categories. In fact, it has oily skin on the T-zone and dryness on the cheeks. This type of skin requires some attention because it often needs products which are suitable for dry and oily skin. Thus, the product to be used is not always easy to find.

Dry skin is distinguished by its lack of sebum. We differentiate it from the others by its rough touch, a feeling of tightness, a sensitivity to climatic changes and an effect of flakiness (peeling in certain places) .Thus, you can determine your type of skin with two quick and effective techniques.

The first is to observe your skin in a magnifying mirror with good light and previously washed skin. Here you will see the characteristics of your skin.

The second technique is after washing your skin, to leave it for thirty minutes so that it has time to work, place a dry tissue on your face for more than five seconds. Subsequently, you will be able to observe the handkerchief and see if your skin has a lot of sebum removed.

You can consult the summary table below to determine what type of skin you have. As a result of this, if you determine that your skin is oily it is better to use a light texture cream (1) and vice versa.
