Skin aging is a natural phenomenon, but beware of the effects of the sun and its rays on your skin!
The skin gives us a natural protection against the sun and stops a large part of the ultraviolet rays (commonly called UV rays). However, when we are exposed to the sun for too long, a tiny fraction of these rays pass through the dermis and damage cells and DNA, thus causing premature aging of the skin.
Skin aging manifests itself by various signs, such as loss of skin elasticity and increased fragility, appearance of wrinkles or pigment marks (“age spots”), sagging and hypersensitivity of the skin, etc.
Incidentally, the older we get, the less our skin is able to defend itself against UV rays! Knowing that, when you want to tan, consider applying a good sunscreen!
